What does the world "really" look like?
now THAT'S a great question! i've always thought of the text books that show the eye and how intitially, the image is seen upside down in the eye. but then the image, from two points in the eye angled towards each other, flips after the intersection of the two points. it could be said that the world is, indeed, upside down and we've trained our brains into thinking the opposite. but could it also be said that this is another complex example of the human body's amazing ability to utilize as much as possible to get the best desired effect? maybe by creating the image in our heads as upsidedown first, we're also creating a whole other level of sight, depth perception, and peripheral vision that otherwise wouldn't be achieved with the image coming right side up?
