Any tricks on making delicious dinner rolls from scratch??? NO Bread maker?

So I am attempting to make dinner rolls and I have been taught how once, so I know all about the punching the dough and how to knead it and so on. So does anyone have any additional tips? The in-laws are coming over and I need to impress them!
