Does the 65$ plan on mobilicity need a BIS if i want to use internet n stuff on my blackberry?

i want to switch to mobilicity and get a blackberry n be on the 65$ plan because it has data but i'm confused. Do i need to have the blackberry add-on on top of the 65$ plan to use bbm, facebook, the internet, etc?? one mobilicity person told me no n the other yes so can someone clarify please?
